Who else missed this?

Suicide bomber in Fuzhou, China on August, 8 2005.
1 killed (presumably the bomber) and 31 injured. The guy left a note saying that he had been treated unfairly by the local public security department. He had been jailed as a result of a dispute with a neighbour and could not recieve treatment for his lung cancer whilst imprisoned. Better to go out with a bang rather than quietly in your sleep I suppose. Read about it here. See the pictures here. (Some scenes may disturb some viewers) Loving the news links in the bottom of the article, 'Anthrax outbreak under control' & 'Scientists call for national flowers'. I can almost imagine a whole room full of scientists refusing to work (perhaps on anthrax vaccines, or new antihistamines) until there is a flower that represents the nation. Almost. I'd have more confidence in scientists who called for, say, science funding. Not that I read the article, botanists splicing genes to create a flower that is resistant to western imperialism would be cool, but im afraid that it could be somewhat less exciting.
