New Toys

I picked up a 250 GB external hard drive today. I seem to be perpetually burning things onto disc, like some sort of devil I guess, to make an analogy of the situation. So I figured why not just have everything on hand all the time, and not have to swap discs etc etc. And $199 was a pretty good price, Australian dollars that is. Pop into your nearest Harris Technologies store people. It makes the two 18.6 GB I've also got plugged in here look positively shameful. But, they aren't only storage, see, they have screens and RCA jacks and mpeg-2,3,4, jpeg, xvid, divx, avi blah blah blah decompression and infrared port with a remote control, so that you can plug it into your TV and watch whatever. Or your stereo. Pretty neat units actually. [Edit 15 Oct: Drunken ramblings removed, were of a poor grammatical standard anyway.]
